June 3, 2009 – The Environmental Partner Award was presented to Service Canada / HRSDC in recognition of their leadership role in mitigating the harmful impacts of e-waste on human health and the environment.
Service Canada / HRSDC not only donates computers to support RCT’s reuse programs but has also taken valuable measures to ensure that all of their ICT equipment is recycled properly and responsibly.

The event kicked off Service Canada`s Environment Week that provided an opportunity to Toronto residents to learn about ways that they can help to protect the environment.
