The Ontario Command of the Royal Canadian Legion consists of close to 400 offices across Ontario, with almost 100,000 members. The main focus of the Royal Canadian Legion, is to remember those who gave their lives for our freedom while also supporting the veterans and their family and supporting those that still serve in the Canadian Forces, today.

The Royal Canadian Legion is also very community oriented.  The Legion supports local events, all over the Province. They support sporting events, youth and senior programming,  The Legion also supports local organizations with funding and by providing a free space for meetings and events. In some communities, the Legion hall is the only available space for community and social events.

One of the other objectives of the Royal Canadian Legion is to fundraise to support local and regional organizations, medical centres, medical research facilities, and they help communities affected by natural disaster, via their Charitable Foundation.  https://www.on.legion.ca/who-we-are/community

The Legion’s Remembrance Day commemorates the men and women who died in the Canadian military during war and peace times. Maintaining the tradition of Remembrance Day is a sacred trust and the Legion’s most important role.
